A Little About Me

My name is Giuli (it’s Italian and pronounced “Julie”!) Hoffmann and I thrive at the intersection of creativity and technology. I graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a B.A. in Media and Journalism and double minors in Creative Writing and Studio Art. I work part-time as a Web Design & Development Intern at Go Fish Digital in Raleigh.

Ever since I was old enough to hold a pencil, I’ve been an artist and writer. After taking my first digital storytelling class at UNC freshman year, I realized I could translate my traditional art skills to creative digital forms, thus sparking my passion for graphic and experience design. What other fields allow you to combine passions for photography, drawing, painting, printmaking, storytelling, problem-solving, and emerging technologies?

Some of my hobbies include:

  • Printmaking & painting: my favorite form of printmaking is screenprint 🎨
  • Photography: I’m encapsulated by shadows, reflections, abstract colors, and nature surrounded by man-made elements πŸ“·
  • Writing: I love combining creative nonfiction stories with other media πŸ“
  • Thrifting: one might even use the term “shopaholic” πŸ‘—
  • Traveling: I roadtripped through 5 national parks (and a national monument) in CO & UT this past summer πŸ—ΊοΈ
  • Watching movies: rom coms are my favorite! 😍
  • Reading: my favorite series are Harry Potter, Percy Jackson, and The Hunger Games (you could say I’m stuck in my middle-school-fantasy-and-dystopia-era) πŸ“š
  • Taking late night drives to nowhere: bonus points if there’s food involved πŸš™
  • Curating niche music playlists: I’ve listened to over 150,000 minutes on Spotify for each of the past 4 years 🎢
